uKnowva HRMS simplifies this process with its Talent Pool feature, which allows recruiters to bulk upload candidate data through various methods.
Whether you have resumes stored as individual files, structured data in a CSV, or want to enter candidate information manually, uKnowva provides an intuitive interface to manage all of this efficiently.
In this article, we will walk you through each method of bulk uploading candidates in the Talent Pool to help streamline your recruitment workflow.
Step 1: Navigate to the Talent Pool Section
Start by logging in to your uKnowva HRMS account. From the side navigation panel, go to the Recruitment module and click on the Talent Pool sub-menu.
This will open a new interface showing a list of candidates already in your system.
On this screen, locate and click the Import bulk candidate button placed above the candidate list to initiate the bulk upload process.
Step 2: Use the CV Parser for Resume Extraction
Once you click on the Import button, a new interface opens with three distinct tabs for importing candidates.
The first tab is CV Parser. This method allows you to upload a .zip file containing multiple resumes in .pdf or .docx format.
It is important to note that other file formats are not supported in this method.
Within the CV Parser tab, select the Source (such as LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) from the drop-down menus.
Then, click on the area that says Drag your file to upload the zip file containing the CVs from your system.
Once the upload is complete, uKnowva will begin parsing the files and extracting relevant candidate data.
After parsing, the results are displayed in a table with columns such as Batch Title, Source, Job Title, Uploaded CV(s), Processing Done, Candidate Creation/Updation, and the time when the CVs were uploaded.
This method is efficient for extracting structured data from resumes and auto-populating candidate profiles in the system.
Step 3: Import Candidates Using a CSV File
The second method is through the Import CSV File tab. Here, you can bulk upload a .zip file that contains a properly formatted CSV file along with the resumes of the candidates.
The mandatory fields in the CSV file include Resume/CV File Name, Candidate Name, Email, and Mobile Number. Other fields can be added optionally based on your requirements.
On this tab, you will also find a downloadable Sample ZIP File at the top right area of the screen that you can use as a reference.
After preparing your file, select the Source from the drop-down menus.
Then click on the Drag your file area to upload the ZIP from your system.
Once uploaded, uKnowva will automatically read the CSV and create or update candidate profiles accordingly.
This method is ideal for recruiters who already maintain structured candidate data in spreadsheets.
Step 4: Add Candidates Manually Using the Manual Import Tab
The third option is the Manual Import tab. This method is designed for manually adding candidate details when you don’t have ready-made resumes or files to upload.
Begin by selecting the Source. Then, proceed to fill in candidate information under multiple sections.
In the Basic Information section, you can upload the resume and enter details such as the candidate’s name, contact number, and email address.
The Educational Information section lets you select the category (like Accounts, Tourism, Academic, etc.), education, and qualification.
Next is the Work Information section where you can input details such as skills, work experience, current company, current designation, and CTC.
In the Location Information section, specify the current city and preferred city, and add a cover note if required.
If you want to add details for multiple candidates, click on the + Add New button. To delete any entry, use the bin icon at the end of that row.
There is also a checkbox labeled Skip Existing Candidates, which allows you to avoid duplicates.
Once you’ve verified all the information, click on the Save button to import the data or Cancel if you wish to discard the entries.
