Release Note for uKnowva - January 2025

This month, we have introduced several new features and enhancements to further streamline processes and improve user experience.

1. AI-Driven CV Match Maker in Recruitment Engine

This month, we’ve introduced an AI-powered CV Match Maker in the Recruitment Engine to make profiling candidates easier and automated with talent fit score and candidate summary.

This feature intelligently evaluates candidate profiles by analyzing skills, education, qualifications, and other relevant parameters, matching their overall talent against the jobs they have applied for.

Using advanced parsing techniques and AI algorithms, it calculates a matching score for each applicant, allowing recruiters to quickly identify the most suitable candidates.

This feature helps reduce manual effort, improves hiring accuracy, and ensures that recruiters focus on high-potential candidates, ultimately making the recruitment process more efficient and data-driven.

2. AI-Driven User Import for Enhanced Simplicity
User import is now smarter with the introduction of AI to simplify the process. This enhancement minimizes manual efforts and ensures accurate data entry, saving time for administrators and HR teams.

3.  Pre-Joining Completion with Configurable Expiry in Recruitment Engine

A new feature in the Recruitment module allows candidates to complete their pre-joining formalities within a specified time frame. Administrators can configure the number of days after which the pre-joining link expires, with an option to set it to zero for no expiration. This update addresses a common client request and ensures timely completion of pre-joining activities.

4. Auto-Fetching Biometric Attendance for Pre-Onboarding Period

To address a key requirement, uKnowva HRMS now auto-fetches biometric attendance for users during the period before their onboarding on the platform. For instance, if an employee joins on the 1st but is registered on uKnowva HRMS instance on the 10th, their attendance between the 1st and 9th will now be reflected. This ensures seamless attendance tracking for organisations onboarding users after their date of joining.

5. Monthly Attendance Stats on Calendar Page

The Attendance Calendar has been enhanced to display monthly attendance statistics directly on the page. Users can now view aggregated metrics such as total days present, absences, and more, providing a comprehensive overview at a glance. This improvement aims to enhance user experience and efficiency in attendance management.

6. Auto-Update Manager Details on Profile Changes
To ensure smooth workflow management, we’ve introduced a feature to automatically update manager details in a user's profile when a Business Head, PMS Manager, Appraiser, or Reviewer is disabled or changed. If enabled, this configuration will reassign pending tasks to the new manager, minimizing disruptions and improving operational efficiency.

7. Exclude User Groups from Leave Rules
We have added an option to exclude specific user groups from leave eligibility while defining leave rules. This feature simplifies leave management for HR teams, providing more flexibility and reducing manual adjustments.

8. New extra 'Earnings & Deductions' Tab in Salary Generation

This month, we are enhancing the salary generation process by introducing a new extra ‘Earnings & Deductions’ tab. When generating salaries, users will now see a dedicated section displaying all additional earnings and deductions being processed for the current payroll cycle. This update provides greater visibility and transparency, helping HR teams review and verify salary components more efficiently.
