Release Notes for uKnowva - June 2024

This month we have worked upon enhancing existing modules to give our clients better User experience.

1. Re-assign pending requests to the new reporting manager

  • In this update, we have implemented a feature to streamline the reassignment of pending requests when there is a change in the reporting manager. When a user’s reporting manager changes or leaves the organization, all pending requests will automatically be transferred to the new reporting manager, ensuring continuity and preventing requests from becoming orphaned. This enhancement aims to maintain efficient workflow management and is configurable to meet your organization's specific needs.

2. Link OT Approval with Workflow Engine

  • In our latest update, we have enhanced the OT approval process by integrating it with the workflow engine. Previously, OT approvals were routed to default HR Admins. With this improvement, the approval process becomes more flexible, allowing you to set specific approvers and approval levels. Additionally, all approvals will now flow through a single, streamlined channel, ensuring consistency and efficiency.

3. Export Applicant Documents

  • We have introduced a new feature, "Export Applicant Documents," that allows users to efficiently export all applicant documents under the "My Applicants" section. This enhancement aims to streamline the document management process, making it easier to organize and share applicant information. Adding this capability to our core functionality not only improves user experience but also adds a valuable tool for HR operations.

4. Mark Request as Processed

  • We are excited to introduce a new feature in our workflow engine that allows users to mark requests as processed. This enhancement, requested by multiple clients, is particularly beneficial for reimbursement workflows where the accounts team needs to track requests marked as processed or completed. To enable this feature, simply adjust the settings in the workflow configuration to activate the processed button.

5. Improving Phone Notifications

  • In In this update, we have optimized the process of sending notifications to the mobile app. Previously, system notifications and mobile app notifications were triggered simultaneously, causing delays in mobile notifications. To address this, we have introduced a flag in the global notifications table to indicate whether a mobile app notification has been sent. This ensures timely delivery by managing the notifications via a cron job, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of mobile notifications.
