Updating Probation Status in uKnowva HRMS

Updating an employee’s probation status in uKnowva HRMS ensures a structured and transparent transition from probation to confirmation. This feature is designed for HR professionals and team leaders to track performance, provide timely approvals, and streamline workforce management. It helps HR maintain accurate records, ensures timely confirmations or extensions, and enhances decision-making. For team leaders, it offers better workforce planning, aligning employee roles with business goals efficiently.

To update an employee’s probation status:

1. Locate the employee in the list.

2. In the Action column, click the check button to initiate the probation confirmation process.

3. After clicking the check button, the Probation Assessment interface (as shown below) will open.

Probation Assessment Interface

This interface includes:

  • Employee Details: Name, email, reporting manager, and designation.
  • Performance Rating Table: A predefined scoring system with descriptions:

  • 1: Does not meet expectations
  • 2: Partially meets expectations
  • 3: Meets expectations
  • 4: Exceeds expectations
  • 5: Far exceeds expectations
  • Attributes Section: Fields such as Performance and Job Knowledge, where scores can be assigned based on evaluation.

Steps to Complete the Assessment:

1. For each attribute, select an appropriate score from the dropdown menu.

2. Review the details carefully.

3. Save the changes to update the probation status by clicking the Submit button at the end of the page.
