Once you reach the Salary Heads page, you will see a structured list displaying existing salary heads.
The list is organized under several headers, including Title, Action, Short Code, Type, Category, Status, Created By, and Created On.
This section not only helps in reviewing current salary components but also provides the interface to add new ones as needed.
Step 2: Adding a New Salary Head
At the top-right corner of the Salary Heads page, you’ll notice an Add button represented by a plus (+) symbol.
Click this button to open a pop-up window where you can enter the details of the new salary head.
In this pop-up, you’ll be prompted to fill in essential fields such as the Title of the salary head, a Short Code that acts as a unique identifier, the Type (which typically categorizes the entry as either earning or deduction), and the Category, which helps group similar heads together for easier payroll processing and reporting.
Once you’ve accurately filled in all the required details, click the Save button at the bottom of the pop-up to create the new salary head.
The entry will then be added to the list and will become available for use in salary structures.
If, however, you decide not to proceed with the addition, simply click Cancel to discard the entry and close the pop-up without saving.
