Configuring Adjustment Days in uKnowva

Step 1: Access the uKnowva Configuration Menu

To configure adjustment days, begin by clicking on your profile icon at the top-right corner of the screen.

A dropdown menu will appear, from which you need to select uKnowva Configuration.

This will open the configuration settings interface, where you can manage various aspects of the HRMS.

Step 2: Navigate to the HRM Lite App

Within the configuration settings, locate the Apps Manager menu on the left-side panel and click on it. This will display a list of all available apps in the system.

Find the HRM Lite app, either by scrolling through the list or using the search bar to locate it quickly.

Click on it to open the app settings, where you will configure the adjustment day settings.

Step 3: Configure Adjustment Day Settings

Once inside the HRM Lite app settings, locate the options for Adjustment Days Configuration. Here, enter a suitable Adjustment Day Head Title that will be displayed when managing adjustment days.

If you want to enable the option to import adjustment days in the Extra Earnings/Deductions page, toggle the relevant setting to Yes.

This allows bulk import of adjustment data for easier payroll processing.

Next, configure the Adjustment Days Pay Type in Salary by selecting an appropriate option from the dropdown menu.

The available options include Add Adjustment Wise in Salary and Add Adjustment As Component Wise Arrears in Salary, allowing flexibility in how adjustments are applied.

Additionally, you can enter an Adjustment Day Head Suffix, which helps categorize adjustment day entries more effectively.

After making the necessary modifications, click on the Save button to apply the changes. If you do not wish to proceed with the modifications, click on Cancel to discard them.

Assigning Adjustment Days to a User

Step 4: Access the Payroll Menu

Once the adjustment day settings are configured, you can assign adjustment days to specific employees.

To do this, navigate to the HR menu from the side navigation panel and select Payroll.

Under the Payroll sub-menu, click on Earnings/Deductions, which will open the interface for managing employee earnings and deductions.

Step 5: Add a New Adjustment Entry

On the Earnings/Deductions page, locate the + button at the top-right corner of the screen and click on it.

This will open a pop-up window where you can create a new adjustment entry for an employee.

Step 6: Enter Adjustment Details

In the pop-up window, select Earnings as the type.

Then choose the Group as Adjustment Days or any custom name configured earlier.

Next, enter the employee’s Username, which will automatically fetch the employee’s per-day salary.

After this, select the Adjustment Year and Adjustment Month from the available options. Enter the number of adjustment days you want to assign to the employee.

Additionally, specify the month, year, and amount related to the adjustment.

If necessary, you can also add relevant attachments to support the adjustment entry.

Once all details are filled in, click on the Save button to confirm the adjustment. If you do not want to proceed, click on Cancel to discard the entry.
