Step 1: Access the Employee Code Series Interface

Begin by logging into your uKnowva HRMS instance. To reach the employee code series, refer to this tutorial: Viewing and Searching Employee Code Series.

This will open the relevant page where you can view all existing series and their details, such as Name, Action, Nextval, Code Series Position, and Employee Code Length.

Step 2: Add a New Employee Code Series

Once you are on the employee code series page, locate the "+" icon at the top-right corner of the screen and click on it.

A pop-up window will appear, prompting you to enter the required details for creating a new code series.

First, provide a suitable Name for the new series that reflects its purpose or target group.

Then, enter the Nextval, which represents the next available number in the sequence for generating employee codes.

Next, set the Code Series Position by choosing from the dropdown options—Prepend, Append, or Do Not Add—based on whether you want the series to appear before or after the generated numeric code, or not be added at all.

Finally, specify the Employee Code Length, which determines how many digits will be used in the numerical part of the code.

Once all fields are correctly filled, click on the Save button to successfully create the new series.

If you wish to discard the entry and close the window without saving, click on the Cancel button instead.
