How to Enable and Configure Pipeline View in a Master in Automation Hub?

Introduction

Pipeline view in uKnowva HRMS helps organisations visually track records as they move through different stages of a process.

This view is especially useful when managing structured workflows such as vendor onboarding, asset approvals, or any master data that progresses through defined statuses.

By enabling pipeline view in Automation Hubs, administrators can easily monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and manage records more efficiently using a stage-based layout.

This article explains how to enable and configure pipeline view for a master in the Automation Hub.

Step 1: Navigate to the Automation Hub Page

Before you begin configuring pipeline view, make sure that the Process Builder extension is enabled in your uKnowva HRMS instance.

From the side navigation panel of your uKnowva HRMS instance, click on the Automation Hub menu to open the Automation Hub page.

This page displays a list of all existing masters in the Automation Hub configured in your system.

From here, you can either enable pipeline view for an existing master or create a new one based on your requirements.

Step 2: Open the master in Editable Mode or create a New One

To enable pipeline view for an existing master, locate the required master in the list and click on the pen icon under the Action column of the same row.

This opens the Master in editable mode.

If you prefer to configure pipeline view while creating a new Master, click on the + Add button above the list.

This action opens a new configuration page where you can enter all required details for your master, including fields, settings, and view preferences.

Step 3: Enable Pipeline View for the Master in the Automation Hub

For a deeper understanding of the master configuration in the Automation Hub, you can refer to this detailed article

Within the Automation Hub configuration screen go to the Advanced Settings tab, locate the Is Pipeline field.

Toggle this option to Yes to enable pipeline view.

As soon as you enable this setting, additional pipeline-related configuration options appear on the screen.

These settings allow you to define how records will move and display across different stages in the pipeline view.

Step 4: Configure the Pipeline Fields

After enabling pipeline view, select the Pipeline Fields. This field determines how records move across the pipeline stages.

For example, if you are creating a Vendor Master, you can select the Status field as the pipeline field.

The predefined options within the Status field, such as New, Under Review, Approved, or Rejected, automatically become the columns in the pipeline view.

This configuration ensures that each vendor record appears under the appropriate stage based on its current status.

Step 5: Define Pipeline Header, Body, and More Fields

Next, configure the Pipeline Header Fields to decide what information appears at the top of each record card in the pipeline view.

For a vendor master, you might choose fields such as Vendor Name and Vendor Code so that users can quickly identify each record.

After setting the header fields, move to the Pipeline Body Fields section and select the fields that should appear within the main body of the record card.

These fields provide quick context and essential details without opening the full record.

Additionally, use the Pipeline More Fields option to select fields that should be visible when users click on the More button for a record.

This helps keep the pipeline view clean while still allowing access to detailed information when required.

Step 6: Review Settings and Save the Configuration

Once you complete all pipeline-related configurations, carefully review the remaining settings for the master to ensure accuracy.

After confirming all details, click on the Save button to apply the changes.

If you decide not to proceed with the configuration, you can click on the Cancel button to discard the changes.

After saving, the changes Master automatically become available in pipeline view, allowing you to manage records visually across defined stages.

Conclusion

That’s it!

You’ve now successfully enabled and configured pipeline view for a master in the Automation Hub in uKnowva HRMS.

By following this process, you ensure that your master records are displayed in a structured, stage-based pipeline, making it easier to track progress.
