However, once the payslips are generated or imported, they must be stored securely to ensure confidentiality and controlled access. 

This article explains how uKnowva HRMS stores payslips while maintaining security and ensuring seamless accessibility for authorized users.

Once the "Generate Payslips" or "Import Payslips" button is clicked, the system creates individual PDF documents for each employee based on the predefined salary data and payslip template. 

These payslips are then stored in a highly secure, encrypted folder on the file system. 

To enhance security, this folder is placed outside the public_html directory, preventing unauthorized access via direct URLs. 

Furthermore, the folder path is randomly generated for each user, ensuring that even if someone gains access to the file system, they cannot determine which folder corresponds to which user or contains which files.

To facilitate controlled access, the system assigns each payslip to the corresponding employee through a database mapping. 

This mapping ensures that only the designated user can view their payslip. 

Additionally, payroll administrators are granted access at the application level, allowing them to review all payslips through the uKnowva interface. 

However, even payroll admins must log in with the appropriate credentials to access payslips, maintaining strict access control. 

Given the sensitive nature of these documents, uKnowva HRMS implements multiple layers of security to protect employee salary information, ensuring confidentiality at every stage.
