Introduction

Key Result Areas (KRAs) are central to effective performance management because they define measurable objectives for employees and align them with organizational goals.

In uKnowva HRMS, the Data Driven PMS module allows administrators and managers to design and manage KRA templates that ensure clarity, transparency, and consistency in performance evaluations.

These templates not only simplify the process of defining performance expectations but also make it easy to update and replicate them when required.

In this article, we will walk you through the process of creating, editing, and copying KRA templates in uKnowva HRMS.

Step 1: Adding a New KRA Template

To begin, navigate to the KRA Templates page under the Data Driven PMS module.

If you are not familiar with accessing this page, you can refer to this article that explains how to access the KRA templates page.

Once on the KRA Templates page, you will see a “+” icon above the list of templates.

Click on this icon to open a pop-up window where you can create a new template.

In the pop-up, you must first enter the Template Name and define who it should be accessible to.

The accessibility can either be set to All users or to Only Selected users.

If you choose the second option, a field labeled Share With will appear, where you can enter the names of the individuals or groups who should have access to the template.

Next, begin adding KPIs to the template. You will need to provide details for each KPI under the columns KPI, Type, Target, and Weightage (%).

If you need to add more KPIs, simply click on the “+” icon present at the right corner above the table or at the end of each row.

If you wish to remove a KPI entry, click on the bin icon at the end of the row.

Once all details are entered, click the Save button to store the template or the Cancel button to discard the changes.

Step 2: Editing an Existing KRA Template

To edit an existing template, locate it from the list displayed on the KRA Templates page. Under the Action column, you will see a pen icon.

Click on this icon to open the template in a pop-up window.

Here, you can edit the details such as updating KPIs, modifying accessibility, or making other changes as required.

Once the modifications are complete, click on the Save button to update the template.

Step 3: Copying an Existing KRA Template

If you wish to create a new template based on an existing one, you can easily copy it.

To do this, locate the desired template from the list and select it by clicking on the checkbox to the left of its name. You can select one or multiple templates at a time.

Once selected, click on the clipboard icon present above the list.

This will create a duplicate of the selected template, which you can then edit to suit your requirements.

This feature is especially useful when you want to reuse existing KRAs with slight modifications, saving both time and effort.

Conclusion

That’s it!

You’ve now successfully learned how to create, edit, and copy KRA templates in the Data Driven PMS module of uKnowva HRMS.

By following this process, you ensure that your performance management framework remains structured, adaptable, and easy to manage.
