Introduction
Performance management is a key driver of employee growth and organizational success.
In uKnowva HRMS, the Data Driven Performance Management System (PMS) allows organizations to create structured, transparent, and measurable evaluation processes.
By configuring this app, you can define KRAs and competencies, set grading matrices, and automate scorecard emails.
This ensures that performance reviews are consistent, fair, and aligned with company objectives.
In this article, we will learn how to configure the Data Driven PMS in uKnowva HRMS step by step.
Step 1: Accessing the uKnowva Configuration
Begin by clicking on your profile icon located at the top-right corner of the home page. A drop-down menu will appear with multiple options.

From this list, select uKnowva Configuration to open the system settings.

This section allows you to manage various administrative configurations across the platform.
Step 2: Navigating to the Apps Manager
Inside the uKnowva Configuration interface, locate the menu options on the left-hand side of the page.
From here, click on Apps Manager to access the complete list of available apps within uKnowva HRMS.

You can either scroll through the list manually or use the search bar at the top to quickly find the Data Driven Performance Management System app.

Once you locate it, click on the app, and a pop-up window will open for further configuration.

Step 3: Configuring the Data-Driven PMS Settings
Within the app pop-up, you must first ensure that the app is published, as only published apps can be used within the system.

After confirming this, you can begin configuring the settings.
Under Types of KRA/Competencies, enter the categories you want to include, separated by commas, such as Qualitative or Quantitative.

For the Show Financial Year Text option, select whether you want to display the Financial Year or Calendar Year from the drop-down list.

Next, move on to Configure Grade Matrix. Here, you can define the grading structure for performance scores.

Start by entering a range, such as 0 to 51, and then assign a grade like A or B along with a corresponding color code.

To add another row, click on the plus (+) icon either at the top of the field or at the end of a row.

This allows you to continue defining ranges, grades, and colors. If you need to remove a row, simply click on the bin icon next to it.

This ensures you can fully customize your grading system as per your company’s evaluation framework.
Below this, you will find toggle buttons to enable or disable additional options. The Allow To Recalculate Leaderboard Rating toggle lets you decide if leaderboard ratings can be recalculated, while the Send Scorecard Email toggle enables automatic scorecard notifications to employees.

Once you have finished configuring these options, click on the Save button to apply the changes. If you wish to discard your updates, click on Cancel.
Conclusion
That’s it!
You’ve now successfully configured the Data Driven Performance Management System in uKnowva HRMS.
By following this process, you ensure that your organization has a structured performance management system that is both fair and data-driven.
