Introduction
In dynamic workplaces, employee objectives and key results (OKRs) often need adjustments to reflect evolving responsibilities, priorities, or timelines.
uKnowva HRMS provides users with the flexibility to update goals or sub-goals directly from the My OKR page without creating new entries from scratch.
Whether you want to change the weightage, adjust the timeline, modify the assigned user, or revise the target metrics, editing an existing OKR ensures your goals remain aligned with business strategy.
This capability saves time and helps in tracking progress with the most accurate data.
Let’s walk through how you can seamlessly edit a goal or sub-goal in your My OKR page.
Step 1: Navigating to the My OKR Page
To begin editing a goal or sub-goal, first access the My OKR page.
If you're not sure how to reach this section, you can follow the detailed tutorial by clicking here.
Once you're on the My OKR page, you’ll see a list of all existing OKRs displayed under specific headers such as Goal/Sub Goal, Weightage, Action, Assigned To, Progress, Status, Time Interval, and Due Date.
Each entry listed here is either a goal or a sub-goal already created for you or by you within the system.
Step 2: Opening the Edit Interface
Locate the OKR entry you wish to modify. You can either scroll through the list or you can use the search field and filters.
Under the Action column, you will see a pen icon. Click on this icon to open the editing interface in a pop-up window.
This window displays all the editable fields associated with your selected goal or sub-goal. You can now begin making the necessary changes as per your updated requirements.
Step 3: Updating the Goal or Sub-Goal Details
Within the pop-up window, you can revise several key attributes of the selected goal or sub-goal.
You may change the Goal/Sub Goal name to reflect a more accurate description of the objective.
If required, you can also reassign its Parent Goal or Sub Goal to establish a new hierarchy.
Time Interval, which defines the period for achieving the objective, can be adjusted to better fit your timeline.
You also have the option to update the Weightage, giving different goals varying levels of importance.
The Measurement Type allows you to choose between Percentage or Number, depending on how you wish to track progress.
You can also alter the Start Value, Progress, and Target Value fields to reflect updated benchmarks.
The Status dropdown offers options like Not Started or In Progress, so you can align the goal's current standing with its real-world progress.
Additionally, you may update the Due Date if there’s a need to extend or shorten the timeline, and you can change the Assigned To field to allocate the goal to a different user if necessary.
Once all required changes are made, click on the Save button to update the goal or sub-goal with the new details.
If you wish to discard the modifications, use the Reset button to clear your changes and retain the existing data.
Conclusion
That’s it!
You’ve now successfully edited a goal or sub-goal in the My OKR page in uKnowva HRMS.
By following this process, you ensure that all your objectives stay relevant, measurable, and aligned with your team’s evolving targets.
