Introduction

Key Result Areas (KRAs) are the foundation of performance management because they help employees and managers align individual contributions with organizational objectives.

Setting KRAs ensures that each person has clear responsibilities, measurable outcomes, and accountability for their work.

In uKnowva HRMS, the process of setting your own KRAs is simple yet highly structured.

The platform not only allows you to set your KRAs manually but also provides smart features like AI suggestions and options to use your previous KRAs, making the task both efficient and flexible.

This guide will walk you through the process step by step so you can set your KRAs with accuracy and confidence.

Step 1: Accessing the My KRA Page

To begin, go to the side navigation panel and click on the My Performance menu. From the dropdown options, select the My KRA sub-menu.

A new page will open, and if your KRA is not yet set, you will see a message stating, “Your KRA is not set yet for the year FY.”

To proceed, simply click on the Set KRA button displayed on the page.

This will redirect you to the KRA setup interface where you can begin defining your goals and competencies.

Step 2: Selecting a Template and Reviewing KRAs

Once you click on the Set KRA button, a new page will open where you first need to select a template.

As soon as you choose a template, the system will automatically fill in the KRAs and competencies based on that template.

You can now begin reviewing the details, starting with the Title, Type, Reasoning, and Weightage (%) for each KRA.

If you need additional rows, click on the plus (+) icon at the end of the row, and if you want to remove one, use the bin icon.

It is important to note that each category must add up to a total weightage of 100% for both KRAs and competencies for both KRAs and competencies, ensuring a fair and consistent assessment system.

Step 3: Managing Competencies

After setting up your KRAs, move on to the competencies section. Similar to KRAs, you should review the Title, Type, Reasoning, and Weightage (%) of each competency.

You also have the option to add more rows or delete existing ones using the plus and bin icons.

Competencies, just like KRAs, must total to 100% weightage, ensuring a fair and consistent assessment system.

Step 4: Using AI Suggest and Previous KRA Options

uKnowva HRMS provides additional convenience by offering smart features to help you set your KRAs.

The first option is the AI Suggest feature, where the system automatically generates KRAs and competencies for you.

You can simply click on the AI Suggest button and then adjust the suggestions as needed to align them with your role and goals.

The second option is to use your previous KRAs, which can be selected from the drop-down menu located at the top-right corner of the page.

This is particularly useful if your goals remain consistent across different periods, allowing you to save time while maintaining continuity.

Step 5: Finalizing and Submitting Your KRAs

Once you have set your KRAs and competencies, reviewed all details, and ensured that the weightages are correctly distributed, you will see four buttons at the bottom of the page: Cancel, Save as Draft, Clear Draft, and Submit.

You can save your progress as a draft if you wish to revisit it later or clear the draft to start fresh.

To finalize the process, click on the Submit button. Once submitted, the system will send a notification to the relevant stakeholders as per your configuration, confirming that your KRAs have been set successfully.

Conclusion

That’s it!

You’ve now successfully set your KRAs in uKnowva HRMS.

By following this process, you ensure that your performance goals are clearly defined and aligned with organizational objectives.

The system provides flexibility through manual entry, AI suggestions, and the ability to use your previous KRAs, making it easier to set accurate and meaningful performance parameters.
