Introduction

Managing quizzes effectively in the uKnowva LMS requires more than just creating questions and assigning tests.

It also involves defining how results are calculated and communicated to users. The Result Scales and Mail Templates sections in the Quiz Dashboard help administrators customize scoring outcomes and automate email notifications with dynamic content.

This article explains how to navigate to these sections and manage them seamlessly.

The content follows a simple, step-by-step structure so that even new users can implement these configurations without any technical background.

Step 1: Access the Quiz Dashboard

To begin, navigate to the side navigation panel on your uKnowva interface, click on the LMS menu, and select the Quiz Dashboard sub-menu from the list of available options.

This action opens a new interface displaying a complete list of existing quizzes.

From here, you can move to the sections dedicated to creating and managing Result Scales and Mail Templates.

Step 2: Create and Manage Mail Templates

Once you are inside the Quiz Dashboard page, you can start working with the mail templates used for quiz results.

To access this feature, click on the Mail Templates menu located above the quiz list.

This opens a new page showing all previously created templates.

To create a new mail template, click on the New button available at the top.

It will open a new page, where you can enter the details of the mail template that you want to create.

You will now see fields where you can enter the Subject of the email, the Sender Email Address, and the Sender Name.

You can also provide a Template Name to identify the template easily in the future. After this, scroll down to the editor where you can write your email content in detail.

This editor supports dynamic parameters such as {username}, {spent_time}, and {quiz_name}, which help personalize each message for the user who receives it.

When you complete drafting the email, click on either the Save button or the Save & Close button to store the new template.

If you wish to update any existing template, locate it in the list displayed on the page and click on its name to open it in editable mode.

You can revise fields such as the Template Name, Sender Email, or the content itself. Once the required modifications are finished, click on the Save or Save & Close button to apply the changes.

There might be cases where you no longer need certain templates. To delete one or more mail templates, locate them in the list and tick the checkbox next to their IDs.

Then click on the Delete button displayed above the list.

A confirmation alert will appear on the screen.

Click on OK to proceed with the deletion, and the selected templates will be permanently removed from the system.

Step 3: Create and Manage Result Scales

After configuring the mail templates, you can move on to managing the result scales used for quizzes.

To access this feature, click on the Result Scales menu present at the top of the Quiz Dashboard page.

This opens a new interface showing all existing result scales.

To create a new result scale, click on the New button above the list.

You will now see a form where you can enter the Name of the result scale and choose the Scale Type, which can be either Score or Percent.

You also need to define the Start Point and End Point to specify the scoring range.

Below this section, you can select the Text, Print, Mail, and Certificate templates for each score range.

These selections help you determine what messages or certificates users will receive based on their quiz performance.

If you want to add more score ranges, click on the + icon located above the Start Point field.

If you wish to remove any score range, click on the x icon at the end of that row and confirm the deletion alert.

After defining all necessary details, click on the Save or Save & Close button to save the newly created result scale.

To edit any result scale, locate it in the list and click on its name to open it in editable mode.

Here, you can adjust score ranges, update templates, or modify the scale type based on new requirements.

Once the changes are complete, click on the Save or Save & Close button to update the result scale. If you do not want to keep the changes, you can click on the Cancel button.

If any result scale is outdated or no longer needed, you can delete it to keep the list organized.

Select one or more result scales by checking the boxes next to them, then click on the Delete button above the list.

A confirmation alert will appear asking if you are sure about deleting the selected scales.

Click on OK to finish the deletion process, and the selected result scales will be removed from the system.
