Introduction

Creating engaging and well-structured learning content often requires significant time and effort from trainers and administrators.

To simplify this process, uKnowva LMS offers the powerful Generate with AI feature, which helps you quickly draft course descriptions and chapter content with minimal manual input.

This feature ensures consistency in tone, saves time, and accelerates course creation without compromising quality.

In this article, you will learn how to use the Generate with AI feature to create course descriptions and chapter content step by step within the uKnowva LMS.

Step 1: Access the Course Management Page in LMS

To begin, navigate to the side navigation panel in your uKnowva HRMS instance and click on the LMS menu. From the list of available sub-menus, select the Course option.

This action opens a new page displaying the complete list of courses available in your LMS. From here, you can create a new course or manage existing ones.

Step 2: Create a New Course and Use Generate with AI for the Course Description

To learn how the Generate with AI feature works, start by creating a new course.

Click on the + icon located above the course list, which opens a new interface for course creation.

On this page, begin by entering the required course details such as the Course Intro Image, Course Name, Course Category, Course Trainer, Author Name, Skills You’ll Learn, and any additional introductory information.

Once you have filled in all the mandatory fields, you can use the Generate with AI feature to create the course description automatically.

Click on the Generate with AI button, and the system will instantly generate a course description based on the information you provided.

You can review the generated content and edit it as needed to better align with your learning objectives or organisational tone.

If you want a more tailored description, click on the Customize button to modify the AI prompt.

After updating the prompt, submit the prompt to create a customized course description.

This allows you to fine-tune the content while still benefiting from AI-generated efficiency.

After finalising the description, configure the Course Accessibility and Additional Course Details settings as required.

Once everything is reviewed, click on the Save button to create the course or click on Cancel to discard the changes.

Step 3: Use Generate with AI for Chapter Creation

Now that the course is created, you can also use the Generate with AI feature to create chapter content.

Locate the newly created course in the course list and move to the Action column.

Click on the book icon to open the course structure and view existing chapters.

From this page, click on the Add Chapter button located at the top-right corner of the screen.

This opens a new page where you can begin adding chapter details.

On the chapter creation page, select the Editor option from the Content Type field.

Then enter the Chapter Name, select the Parent Chapter if applicable, specify the Chapter Duration, and add a brief summary.

Once these details are filled in, click on the Generate with AI button to automatically generate the chapter content.

The AI-generated text appears instantly in the editor, where you can review and modify it as required.

Similar to the course description, you can customise the AI prompt by clicking on the Customize button.

Once you update the prompt, click Generate Content to get a refined and customized output.

Once you are satisfied with the chapter content, click on the Save button to add the chapter to the course.

If you decide not to proceed, click on the Cancel button to discard the changes.
