How to Mark Attendance Using the uKnowva Offline App?

Introduction

In many industries, employees do not always work from offices with stable internet connectivity. Teams working in mining sites, construction projects, manufacturing plants, oil and gas fields, warehouses, rural sales territories, or remote infrastructure locations often operate in areas where network access is weak or unavailable.

In such environments, depending entirely on an online attendance system can lead to missed punch-ins, delayed updates, and inaccurate workforce records.

For example, a mining supervisor managing workers underground may not have access to live internet connectivity throughout the shift.

Similarly, a construction site manager overseeing multiple contract workers at a remote highway project may struggle to ensure real-time attendance tracking.

Field sales teams traveling across rural regions also face connectivity gaps during the day.

In all these scenarios, organizations require a dependable solution that allows attendance marking without relying on continuous internet access.

The uKnowva Offline App solves this challenge by enabling managers and employees to record attendance even when they are offline.

The app requires internet access only during the first-time setup. After successful login and configuration, users can continue marking attendance without needing an active internet connection.

This ensures operational continuity, accurate time tracking, location-based validation, and improved accountability across distributed teams.

Step 1: Install and Log In to the uKnowva Offline App

Before you begin, make sure you have access to the uKnowva Offline App. If you do not yet have access, you can connect with the uKnowva team to learn more about its demo and pricing details by clicking here . Once installed and configured, the app becomes a reliable attendance management tool for on-site and remote teams.

Start by ensuring that the uKnowva Offline App is installed on your Android device. For first-time setup, make sure your device is connected to the internet. Open the app by tapping on its icon.

On the login screen, you will see two options: you can log in using your registered email ID or use the Set Instance option.

To log in using the Set Instance method, click on the Set Instance button. A new page will open where you need to enter your instance URL.

After entering the correct instance URL, click on the Go button.

Next, enter your login credentials, including your username and password, and click on the Log In button.

Once your credentials are successfully verified, the system will take you to the main interface of the Offline App.

After this initial setup, you can continue using the app without an internet connection.

Step 2: Explore the App Interface

After logging in, you will see the menu displaying different options such as My Team, Mark Attendance, My Team Attendance, and Logout. Each menu allows you to perform specific attendance-related actions.

If you click on the My Team menu, the app will display a list of your team members.

This section helps you quickly view and manage the members under your supervision.

To view more details of the team member, simply click on the v icon present at the end of the row, and it will display details such as email id, username, and gender.

Step 3: Mark Attendance for Yourself and Your Team

To mark attendance, click on the Mark Attendance menu.

The app will display a list that includes both you and your team members.

To punch in, click on the Punch-In button in the same row as the employee’s name.

Ensure that you have granted location tracking permission to the app, as it records location details during the punch-in process.

Once you click the Punch-In button and location access is enabled, the system will record the attendance successfully.

You can follow the same process to mark attendance for other team members listed in the app. This ensures accurate attendance recording even when working in offline mode.

Step 4: View and Filter Team Attendance

To review attendance records, click on the My Team Attendance menu.

This section displays the attendance details of your team members.

If you want to filter attendance records for a specific period, select the required dates in the From and To fields.

The system will then display attendance data for the selected date range, allowing you to monitor presence, track patterns, and verify entries efficiently.

Step 5: Log Out of the Application

Once you complete your attendance tasks, you can log out of the app by clicking on the Logout button. Logging out ensures account security, especially when using shared devices.

Conclusion

That’s it!

You’ve now successfully marked and managed attendance using the uKnowva Offline App.

By following this process, you ensure that attendance is accurately recorded even in low or no-internet connectivity environments, including proper location tracking and team monitoring.

This system simplifies attendance management for field teams and supervisors while maintaining reliable workforce records.
