Step 1: Enable AI Summary in the Dashboard
To begin, log in to your uKnowva HRMS instance and go to the top-right corner of the page. Click on your profile photo to open the list of available options. From the list, select uKnowva Configuration to access the system configuration settings.
Once the configuration page opens, navigate to the left-side menu and select Apps Manager.
The Apps Manager displays the applications available in your uKnowva HRMS instance. You can either scroll through the list or use the search bar to quickly locate the Dashboard app.
Click on the Dashboard app to open its configuration settings.
Within the configuration window, locate the Enable AI Summary field. Toggle this option to Yes to enable AI Summary for the dashboard.
Then enter the required AI Summary OpenAI Key to enable the AI Summary feature for the dashboard.
After enabling the setting, review the configuration and click on the Save button to apply the changes. The AI Summary feature is now enabled and can be accessed from the dashboard.
Step 2: Open the Dashboard

After processing the available data, uKnowva HRMS will display a summary containing important Key Factors and Recommendations. The Key Factors help highlight the important information identified from the dashboard data, while the Recommendations provide useful insights based on the information presented.
This allows HR professionals and administrators to understand the most relevant information without having to manually analyse every stat tile or graph. The generated summary can provide a quicker way to review workforce information and identify areas that may require attention.
Step 4: Regenerate the AI Summary
If you want to generate the summary again, you can use the Regenerate Summary button available on the dashboard. Click on this button to generate a new summary based on the available dashboard information.
This option is useful when you want to refresh the generated insights or review the information again through a newly generated summary.
Step 5: Ask Employee-Related Questions Using AI Genie
If your uKnowva HRMS instance also has the AI Genie feature enabled, you can use the HR Assistant chatbot to ask questions about employee information in addition to using the dashboard summary.
To use this functionality, open the Your HR Assistant chatbot and enter a query based on the employee information you want to find. For example, you can enter “List all employees whose employment status is on probation.”
AI Genie will process the query and provide the relevant employee information available in the system. This allows HR teams to retrieve specific workforce information using natural-language questions instead of manually searching through employee records.
