Step 1: Access the Leave Requests Page
From the side navigation panel, go to the Approvals menu and click on the Leave Requests sub-menu.
This will open a new page displaying all leave requests submitted by employees.
Each request is organised in a tabular format under headers such as Request, Action, Type, User, Status, Leave Type, Leave From Date, Leave To Date, Duration, Reason, Created On, and Approver.
These headers allow you to quickly review the request details before making a decision.
Step 2: View Detailed Request Information
To see more details of a particular request, locate the “v” icon at the end of the row.
When you click it, additional details will expand below, including information like Employee Name, Employee Username, Leave Type, Leave Duration, Applied On date, and the From and To dates.
This expanded view provides clarity on each leave request so that you can review it thoroughly.
Step 3: Open the Request for Action
Under the Action column, you will find an eye icon.
Clicking on this icon opens a new page dedicated to that specific leave request.
On this page, you can see all relevant details that will help you make an informed decision.
At the top of this page, you will find the Delegate button, which allows you to forward the request to another approver if necessary.
At the bottom of the page, you will find the Accept and Reject buttons.
Depending on your review, you can click either button and, if needed, add a comment in the comment box provided.
Adding comments ensures transparency and helps maintain accountability in the approval process.
Step 4: Take Bulk Actions on Requests
If you need to process multiple requests at once, uKnowva makes this easy. Simply select the checkboxes on the left side of the leave request rows.
Once selected, you will see Accept, Reject, and Delegate buttons above the list. You can then take bulk action in one click, saving time and ensuring efficiency when managing large volumes of leave requests.
Step 5: Export and Filter Leave Requests
For reporting or documentation purposes, you can export the list of leave requests by clicking on the Export button.
This gives you two options: Export (list view) or Export Documents.
Additionally, if you want to narrow down the requests you see, click on the funnel icon to access filtering options.
Here, you can search and filter by fields such as Request Type, Approval Pending From, Requested By, My Status, Status, Level, Approver, Designation, Blood Group, and date ranges.
Once you set the filters, click on the Search button to apply them or the Reset button to clear them.
These options help you manage leave requests more effectively and only focus on the ones that matter at that moment.
